The receptionists will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see the doctors or the nurses. They will also give details of how to obtain repeat prescriptions, answer the telephone and deal with enquiries. They have a difficult job to do so please be patient. Please ask a receptionist for somewhere more private if you need to speak to them in confidence. Receptionists are available to patients during surgery hours in person or on the telephone. The surgery hours can be found under Surgery Times.
Our district nurses work closely with the doctors and are able to provide home nursing and advice about care and convalescence after discharge from hospital.
The health visitors support individuals and families with a variety of social and medical problems. They can give expert advice on health care, especially for children under five and elderly people. They also run the child health clinics with the doctor.
They will call at your home at the request of our doctors or hospital staff. Telephone details can be found under contact details.
